The MATUG meeting went smoothly at the HPE office in the Reston Town Center, Virginia. The presentations began and ended with two interesting HPE presentations: John Vollers presented HPE Strategy and NonStop Roadmap, and John Zimsky presented Deploying REST Applications to NonStop.
Digital Resilience and Ransomware were a major focus at this year’s premier European NonStop event, eGTUG 2024, held in April in Berlin. There was a lot of energy at the conference with nearly 200 customers, partners, and HPE team members coming together to get the latest information on the NonStop platform and to learn about new developments in a wide range of solution areas.
MexTUG 2024 was held at the Sofitel Hotel in Mexico City and was a blast for everyone who attended. Similar to last year, presentations started later than planned because everyone was very much enjoying reconnecting. Speakers presented before a lively, yet respectful crowd.
Last week, HPE Discover was held at the Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada. HPE Atmosphere was combined with HPE Discover, making for a much larger attendance than previous years. Antonio Neri, HPE CEO, provided the Keynote Address in the Sphere, the first keynote to happen in this venue. Antonio said, “Data is your most valuable asset.”
The NYTUG event this year, held in Berkeley Heights, NJ, was a resounding success, with15 customers attending! The feedback from partners and customers alike was positive. It was great to reconnect with customers who we had not seen in some time.

Gravic attended N2TUG held at the Hurst Conference Center in Hurst, Texas. It was a full day of networking and presentations, followed by a cocktail gathering that allowed for more one-on-one and small group networking. Karen Ramirez (HPE Director of NonStop North America Sales) presented a NonStop Business Update and Richard Conine (HPE Solutions Architect) presented on Digital Resilience.

The CTUG (Canadian Tandem User Group) event was held this week at the Mississauga HPE Office near Toronto, Canada. Paul Holenstein, Kenneth Scudder, and Paden Holenstein jointly presented to an engaged group on "HPE Shadowbase Digital Resilience for HPE NonStop Systems."
Dr. Bruce Holenstein, President and CEO, and Paul J. Holenstein, EVP and Chief Technologist, formed our first company, Compucon Services Corp., soon after Tandem started, and we are celebrating our 45th year working in the HPE NonStop world! In 2001, we renamed our company “Gravic,” based on the word “gravity.”
Gravic published an article, "Gravic, Inc. Celebrates its 45th Anniversary – Then vs. Now," in the May/June issue of The Connection. It shares stories from our origins and history, while articulating our gratitude for everyone who worked with Gravic over the past 45 years.
This year, the BITUG Big SIG was held at the beautiful Trinity House in London. Early in the day, the volume of lively discussion was noticeable as the attendees quickly were reconnecting. It was great to see some new customer personnel at the event.
