This year, the BITUG Big SIG was held at the beautiful Trinity House in London. Early in the day, the volume of lively discussion was noticeable as the attendees quickly were reconnecting. It was great to see some new customer personnel at the event.

Paden Holenstein presented on HPE Shadowbase Solutions on maximizing HPE Nonstop Data Resilience with Data Replication, Data Integration, and Data Validation. Paden discussed how HPE Shadowbase solutions can help maximize Digital Resilience and address business needs like Cloud Integration, Streaming Data, Analytics, and Virtualization. He also highlighted new European customer Use Cases, including a Zero Downtime Migration, and an RDF upgrade to HPE Shadowbase in a BASE24-eps™ environment.
He reviewed DORA and the HPE Digital Resilience Framework and how HPE Shadowbase solutions can help protect and recover your HPE NonStop data from Ransomware and Malware attacks. He also discussed best practices, like air-gapped systems, bare-metal recovery, and data validation to enable rapid data recovery with transactional consistency to a trusted state.
After the event, attendees enjoyed the Beer Bust at Traitors Gate Pub. Overall, the event occurred in a lovely venue without any issues, due to the extensive planning by the BITUG committee. We greatly appreciate their efforts and look forward to the Little SIG in early November.
