During the week of May 22, Gravic joined the three-cities-in-four-days OzTUG tour events in Auckland, New Zealand, Sydney, and Melbourne, Australia. It was a whirlwind week full of customer and partner engagement, collaboration with the region’s HPE teams, solution presentations, customer meetings, and, of course, hospitality.
Jeff Kyle, VP & GM, HPC/AI – NonStop Solutions provided the HPE keynote which emphasized HPE’s focus on GreenLake branding for high-value enterprise solutions with less emphasis on specific product branding. Jeff reminded folks that regardless of the environment – converged or virtual, it’s now simply NonStop. This led to a humorous moment when an attendee asked, “What is a converged system?” It turned out that he was new to NonStop and has only ever known the virtual NonStop environment!
Nelson Wong, HPE Solutions Architect, provided several presentations, updating the groups on NonStop product updates, customer solution case studies, and expert tips and tricks.
Isaac Deeb, Director of Sales for GreenLake Managed Services (GMS) provided updates on how HPE NonStop is a full participant in the HPE GreenLake environment and the advantages that brings to customers for budgeting, implementation, management, and growth.
Jonathan Sechrist, Director of Asia-Pacific & Japan Business Development, represented Gravic at all three events speaking on the three pillars of HPE Shadowbase: Data Replication, Integration, and Validation. During session breaks Jonathan spoke individually with customers and HPE team members about their specific situations, discussing the replacement of legacy replication-only solutions with Shadowbase software, enabling modern and feature-rich capabilities, as well as opportunities for customers to utilize Data Validation and Data Streaming in addition to the Data Replication pillar of HPE Shadowbase.
Many new connections were made during the week. Gravic looks forward to frequent engagement with the New Zealand and Australian customers and HPE teams!
