Dr. Bruce Holenstein, President and CEO
Bruce started company operations with his brother, Paul, in 1980, leads all aspects of the company, and is focused on changes needed to accommodate significant business growth. Dr. Holenstein’s technical fields of expertise include algorithms, mathematical modeling, availability architectures, data replication, pattern recognition systems, process control, and turnkey software development. He is also a well-known author of articles and books on high availability systems. He received his BSEE from Bucknell University and his Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Paul Holenstein, Executive Vice President and Chief Technologist
Paul manages the Shadowbase Products Group and is a Senior Fellow at Gravic Labs, the company’s intellectual property group. Paul’s technical areas of expertise include high availability designs and architectures, data replication technologies, data integration and data streaming, heterogeneous application integration, and communications and performance analysis. He holds many patents in the field of data replication and synchronization, writes extensively on high and continuous availability topics, and co-authored the Breaking the Availability Barrier book series. He received his BSCE from Bucknell University, his MSCS from Villanova University, and is an HPE Master Accredited Systems Engineer (MASE).
Chris Davison, Vice President, Product Development
Chris leads the team of software engineers responsible for developing and maintaining the Remark product line of paper/cloud-based data collection products. Having been at the company for over 30 years, he’s proficient in application architecture and design, software development, cloud application management, deployment and security, data transformation, image handling, and optical mark recognition. He also holds several patents in the field of data collection.
Kenneth Scudder, Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development
As the VP of Global Sales and Business Development, Ken manages direct worldwide Shadowbase software sales and leads a team that works closely with the HPE NonStop Enterprise Division, and other partners. He has over two decades of enterprise software experience in product management, sales, and business development.
Jonathan Ziegler, Senior Manager, Product Development
Jonathan leads software development and is an accomplished C and C++ architect, designer, and developer with many years of experience with HPE NonStop, Windows, Linux, and Unix systems. Jonathan is a member of the Gravic Labs Intellectual Property Team and is an inventor with several issued patents and applications in process.
Chris Capitolo, Senior Manager, Product Delivery
Chris manages Product Delivery, which includes quality assurance, product release, training, and documentation. He began with Gravic as a Programmer in 2007 and worked in various roles in product delivery and services for the Shadowbase product suite.
Peter Schvarcz, Senior Project Manager, Integration Team Lead
Peter uses his more than three decades of IT experience at HPE to manage existing and upcoming Integration Team Lead (ITL) projects, working to enhance and improve customers’ impressions and make Shadowbase project deployments successful. He also assists with architecture, design, and performance analysis of Shadowbase software.
Jonathan Sechrist, Director, Japan Business Development
Jonathan leads business development in Japan. He first worked with Gravic in the mid-late 1990’s, when HPE and Gravic collaborated to enhance and productize the TMF Audit Reading Library to support Shadowbase software. Jonathan has over 25 years of experience working with HPE NonStop businesses in Japan and works on new deals, projects, and support issues involving Shadowbase products.
Keith Evans, Senior Manager, Product Management
Keith joined the Shadowbase Products Group in 2012, working to develop the HPE and Gravic partnership, internal processes, marketing communications, and business development. He is responsible for the Shadowbase product roadmap in response to business and customer requirements. Particular areas of focus are the patented Shadowbase synchronous replication technology for Zero Data Loss (ZDL) and data collision avoidance in Active/Active architectures.
