Visit Gravic at Upcoming Connect HP NonStop T.B.C.

Photo of TBC 2014 logoThe Connect HP NonStop Technical Boot Camp will be held at the Hayes Mansion in San Jose, CA, November 16-19. The NonStop TBC is the global community event that brings HP NonStop engineers, executives, partners and practitioners together to learn from experts and one another. Please join us for four days of learning, networking, and Celebrating 40 Years of NonStop! We appreciate the opportunity to share ideas regarding how HP Shadowbase data replication could provide business solutions to their most pressing business issues within business continuity, data integration, data replication, and your synchronization needs.

We expect HP Product Management to deliver two presentations, HP Shadowbase Introduction and Overview, targeted to sales and explaining how it is packaged and sold, and HP Shadowbase Technical Architecture Overview, targeted to HP solution architects and customers. Please check the Connect Sessions at a Glance in a few weeks for the exact titles and abstracts. We hope to see you at these presentations, and/or any of the following presentations:

Speaker: Keith B. Evans, Shadowbase Business Development & Product Management
Title: Shadowbase Solutions and HP Pathway Domains – Perfect Together!
Abstract: It takes two to tango. Business continuity architectures require the continuous availability of both data and applications in the event of planned or unplanned system outage in order to maintain business services. This session will discuss how Pathway domains and Shadowbase data replication solutions may be used in complementary ways to achieve this goal. Learn how to leverage the best of both worlds to achieve true continuous availability for both your applications and data.

Speaker: William G. Holenstein, Senior Manager of Product Delivery
Title: BASE24™ to Oracle and Other Data Integration Projects – An HP Shadowbase Case Study in Improving Functionality While Reducing Costs
Abstract: A major European financial institution needed to upgrade its HP NonStop environment and as part of that effort, initiated a review of its existing data replication processing to standardize its solutions, improve functionality, and reduce costs. After a lengthy feature comparison and selection process, including running its existing environment in parallel with a newly defined HP Shadowbase environment, the financial institution selected HP Shadowbase for its data replication needs. This session will review the project requirements, discuss the risks and rewards for undertaking such an effort, present the results, and discuss how other companies can achieve similar successful cost-saving results while standardizing on a common replication platform and supporting infrastructure for all of its replication needs.

Speaker: Paul J. Holenstein, Executive Vice President
Title: Leveraging Shadowbase Data Replication Technology for Business Continuity, Data Integration, and Application Integration
Abstract: Shadowbase, Gravic’s real-time data replication product suite, provides cost-effective solutions for business continuity/disaster recovery, data integration and synchronization, application integration, real-time business intelligence, and data warehouse feeds. Shadowbase products support homogeneous and heterogeneous replication projects across a wide variety of platforms and databases, including HP NonStop, Linux, IBM, Unix, and Windows, for HP Enscribe/SQL, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, DB2, and MySQL databases. This presentation provides an overview of key Shadowbase solution features, and highlights their use via customer case studies in improving application availability, reducing costs, as well as simplifying your data sharing and data integration challenges.  We will also review the current state of the art for advanced asynchronous and synchronous replication solutions for the HP NonStop platform.
