2012 Winter Newsletter — Executive Vice President’s Letter

Paul J. Holenstein
Executive Vice President

Hello and welcome to our Winter 2012 Shadowbase Products Group Newsletter. After winning the 2011 Mission-Critical Innovation Award in Vienna at HP Discover in November, I felt we simply had to cheer (a little) about the wonderful team we have here at Gravic and the amazing effort that the team from a large Canadian bank expended as it implemented an active/active architecture for its BASE24™ environments using Shadowbase. Apparently HP and Intel agree, as we were awarded for our ground-breaking work developing a solution in the mission-critical data category. For more information on this award, please click here.

For those of you interested in or investigating the HP Converged Infrastructure (CI), we also want to share our latest white paper with you: Shadowbase for the HP Converged Infrastructure. Converged Infrastructure is the heart of HP’s move to what it calls the Instant-On Enterprise. HP partner products that qualify as “CI-Ready”—as Shadowbase has—are of paramount importance to achieving Instant-On.

While we’re at it, we also want to share with you our newest case study: Island Bank Finds that Active/Active is Better than the End of the Rainbow. This island bank is located on the Pacific Rim Ring of Fire and lost its data center for several hours during an earthquake. Read how the bank addressed its disaster recovery issues by implementing Shadowbase data replication, moving its architecture in a controlled fashion towards an active/active configuration and continuous availability.

Lastly, we want to inform you about the three most-recent patents awarded to Gravic Labs, our research and intellectual property (IP) arm. For more information, please click here.

For additional information about Gravic’s products and services, including free white papers on how Shadowbase data replication solutions can solve your company’s business continuity, data integration & synchronization, application integration, application modernization, and real-time business intelligence challenges, please visit: www.ShadowbaseSoftware.com.

We deeply appreciate your support and use of our products. Please let us know what we can do to assist in your efforts to solve your availability and data synchronization/integration business problems. Feel free to contact me at any time to discuss what is on your mind. We look forward to hearing from you.

With warm regards,
Paul J. Holenstein
