Welcome to our Winter 2013 edition of the Gravic Shadowbase Products Group Newsletter. We had an exciting and busy run these past few months; we won various awards, issued a new patent, gained new customers, and delivered some exciting new technology to the marketplace.


Gravic Wins HP and Intel 2012 Mission-Critical Innovation AwardMission Critical Innovation Awards Logo: Best New Application Winner 2012

HP and Intel announced Gravic, Inc. as the winner of the 2012 Mission-Critical Innovation Award at the Mission-Critical Awards Celebration event held at Steinberger Frankfurter Hof in Frankfurt, Germany in December. Read about the award submission on the Shadowbase active/active data replication solution and why it was named the best in the New Application category.


John R. HoffmanShadowbase Development Highlights

Version 5.001 for Shadowbase is now available in general release. This version extends a number of existing Shadowbase capabilities, as well as adds support for several new features. Importantly, the release resolves a number of issues and contains some patches from HP for improving the performance of the HP ARLIB audit reading routines.

The Sales and Marketing teams were very busy these past few months with trade shows and conferences, some exciting new customers joining our team, and winning another HP/Intel award for our efforts at a bank on the Pacific Ring of Fire.

The Customer Portal is a secure area within the Gravic Shadowbase domain where our licensed users gain access to a variety of additional Shadowbase information. Located under the banner of the Gravic website’s Shadowbase home page is a tab for Support. Mouse over this option to see a variety of Support-related components, among which is the Customer Portal.

Read about Keith B. Evans, who recently began working on Shadowbase Business Development and Product Management of the Shadowbase Synchronous Replication products. As a former Distinguished Technologist with HP NonStop Enterprise Division (NED), Keith was involved with the continuing development of RDF, TMF, and middleware application infrastructures.
